Who we are

UseJapan ("we", "us") provides a practical travel utility map for Japan via our website usejapan.com and the UseJapan mobile apps for iOS and Android.

Data we collect

• Account information: email address and name when you sign up or log in with Google or Apple.
• Saved content: locations you favorite, reports you submit and map markers you create.
• Approximate location: only when you grant permission, used to center the map and show nearby spots. We do not track your location in the background.
• Device and usage data: app version, OS, crash logs and basic analytics to improve the product.

How we use your data

To provide the service, sync your favorites across devices, prevent abuse, and improve the app. We do not sell your personal data.

Third parties

We use Lovable Cloud for backend hosting, authentication and storage. We use Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In for optional login. Map tiles and location data may be served by mapping providers.

Your rights

You can request export or deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing privacy@usejapan.com. In the app, you can also delete your account from the Account screen.

Children

UseJapan is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
